What do you do for work? Give us a few reasons why you love it.
I am an Event Marketing Manager. I get to be creative and I am able to bring joy to people I create events for, which gives me a sense of satisfaction. I learn new things with every project I work on, while also getting better at what I do. I never do the exact same thing twice
Which is more important: talent or work ethic? Why?
Talent without strong work ethic accomplishes nothing. A strong work ethic will produce results even without talent, and with nurturing and hard work, a strong work ethic will go much further.
What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in your life?
Confidence is everything. Fake it till you make it. (Easier said than done.) People like to work with people they also like. Relationships are what make anything possible.
Who are your role models or influences? Explain what makes them special.
Sir Richard Branson. He is successful in a carefree and creative manner and doesn’t take himself too seriously.
How do you measure success at work? In life?
Measurement of success at work: Feedback from peers, promotions and salary increments. In life: Financial independence with enough to live comfortably. Physical and mental health.
What are your priorities outside work? Where do you spend your time? What do you care about?
Friends and family. I spend time traveling to explore new cultures and adventures. I care about my friends and my family and make time to help those who need a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand. I also care about children from broken families and ex-convicts and help to raise money and make donations to provide them with support to get the help they need.
How do you want the world to be different because you lived in it?
I would like it to be a more carefree and peaceful place.
